Why this card matters
pop
21yr-old JP set, no reprint pressure, but zero PSA pop & single raw comp suggest thin — not proven — scarcity. Absence of graded data cuts both ways.
demand
Altaria has modest fan pull; Dragon-type appeal helps, but no ex-era PCG revival wave or tournament relevance driving active collector pursuit right now.
artist
Masakazu Fukuda's soft watercolor holo ex finish is era-distinctive and visually strong. Ex-era JP holos age well aesthetically, lifting art conviction above mid.
catalyst
0% 30d momentum, zero graded sales, no visible hype trigger. Raw $93 vs PSA 10 comp of $2 is a red flag — pricing is untethered from actual realized sales.
