MASTER — Privacy Policy

The short version
MASTER creates an anonymous account for your device the first time you open the app, so the community leaderboard, cross-device sync, and giveaway entries can work. That account has no name, no email, and no password attached to it — nothing in it can identify you personally. Your archetype, watchlist, and settings still stay on your device.
The anonymous account we create for you
On first launch, MASTER signs your device in to an anonymous account with our backend (Supabase). This happens automatically, without asking you for anything — there is no email, no password, no name, and no sign-up screen. That account exists so the features below can work; it is identified only by a random id, never by you.
Your points, streak & the public leaderboard
Your points, lifetime score, streak, and total swipe count are synced to our servers under a handle like “Trainer-XXXX” (derived from your anonymous id, never your name). Lifetime score and that handle appear on the in-app leaderboard, visible to other players. Nothing else about you is shown.
Your card collection
If you log cards you own, the card, quantity, grade, and cost you entered are synced to our servers under your anonymous id so your collection survives a reinstall or follows you to a new device. This is not shown to other players.
Swipes & community hype
Each swipe (like/pass/super) is sent to our servers and added to that card’s global hype counters — totals everyone sees, not attributed to you individually. Swipes also feed your entry credits toward any active giveaway (see “Giveaways” below).
Scanning a card with your camera
When you use the camera-scan feature, the photo you take is sent to our backend, which forwards it to Scrydex (a third-party card-identification and pricing service) to match it against known cards and read graded-slab labels. Scrydex receives only the photo — no account id, name, or other personal information travels with it. We do not keep a copy of the photo after the match is returned.
Push notifications
If you allow notifications, we register an Expo push token for your device (via Expo’s push service) so we can send you things like “your swipes refilled.” The token identifies your device for delivery purposes only.
Giveaways
If you enter a giveaway, your entry count and credits are recorded on our servers under your anonymous id, in an append-only ledger used to draw a winner. See the Giveaways section of our Terms of Service for how a draw works.
What our servers do for pricing
To show market analysis, the app requests card data from our backend, which aggregates public market prices (e.g. Cardmarket, eBay sold listings) and computes an AI-assisted conviction read. These requests contain only the card identifiers needed to return data — no personal identifiers.
Sub-processors we use
Supabase (database and anonymous authentication), Expo (push notification delivery), and Scrydex (card identification and market pricing) process data on our behalf as described above. None of them receive your name, email, or any other way to identify you.
Deleting your data
Profile → “Reset all data” deletes both copies: everything stored on your device (archetype, watchlist, points, and collection) andthe rows held on our servers under your anonymous id — your profile, your collection, and this device’s push token. Your old anonymous id is then signed out and a brand-new one is created, so the reset device is no longer connected to anything you did before. The one thing a reset does not erase is any giveaway entry you already claimed: those are the ledger for a live prize draw, and deleting them would quietly remove you from a draw you had entered. Analytics & tracking
MASTER does not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. We do not build advertising profiles.
Children
MASTER is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

MASTER is a decision-support tool, not financial or investment advice. Collectible cards are not securities. Prices and signals may be delayed or inaccurate.
